Gardaí investigate discovery of Tipperary body

Gardaí in Tipperary are investigating after the discovery of a body in a burnt out car in a wooded area near Cahir yesterday afternoon.

It's understood that Gardaí were alerted to the scene near a picnic area in the upper end of Glengarra Woods by a member of the public.

It's still not clear at this stage if the victim was a man or a woman.

The area, which is located just off the old N8 Dublin to Cork road, has been sealed off for further examination by the Garda Technical Bureau this morning.
