Nurses move step closer to nationwide strike

The threat of mass industrial action by nurses around the country has escalated following a vote taken at the annual conference of the Irish Nurses Organisation today.

Delegates at the gathering have unanimously passed a motion given the union authority to take any legal, protest or industrial action necessary to fight the recruitment freeze in the public service.
