Closure orders served on three food firms last month

The Food Safety Authority says it served closure orders on three firms last month for breaches of hygiene regulations.

Two of the businesses - Twenty Four K Ltd and Da Dong Bei BBQ restaurant - are on Parnell Street in Dublin city centre.

The third is the Station Road Deli in Ballina, Co Mayo.

The FSAI says it also served probation orders last month on Sheehan's pub, Chatham Street, Dublin, and Keoghs Traditional Bar, Main Street, Longford.

Closure orders are served when inspectors feel the activities within a food premises pose an immediate risk to public health.

Probation orders are served to prevent the sale of a product that could pose a serious risk to public health.
