Bacik confirmed as Labour by-election candidate

Labour Senator Ivana Bacik has been confirmed as the party's candidate for the upcoming Dublin Central by-election.

Ms Bacik was the only person nominated for the candidacy ahead of tonight's selection convention.

The Trinity College law professor was elected to the Seanad for the first time in 2007.
