Mother appeals for release of daughter held in Laos
The Dublin-based mother of a pregnant British woman facing possible execution for drug smuggling in Laos has appealed for her daughter's release.
Jane Orobator, who is originally from Nigeria, lives with her other three daughters in Castleknock.
Her 20-year-old daughter Samantha, from London, has been in jail in Laos since last August after being allegedly caught with heroin by customs officers at the country's Wattay Airport.
Her trial is expected to get underway today.
