Gormley rejects reports of Cabinet rift over e-voting machines
The Environment Minister John Gormley is rejecting reports of a rift in Cabinet over his plans to scrap the e-voting machines.
Mr Gormley said the Fianna Fáil party welcomed the decision to get rid of the controversial machines, which cost the taxpayer more than €51m over the past 7 years.
According to newspaper reports this morning, the minister made the decision alone.
But Minister Gormley said members of the Cabinet were involved in the process.
