Murphy: 'Progress is being made' in Limerick
Garda Commissioner Fachtna Murphy has insisted that the force is making progress in tackling gangland criminals in Limerick.
Mr Murphy was speaking today at the annual conference of the Garda Representative Association in Killarney, Co Kerry.
He admitted that there were serious issues with crime in the city and said the situation posed a real challenge for the Gardai.
However, he said all the necessary resources were being made available and progress was being made.
