Man dies in crash in North

A man has been killed and a woman seriously injured in two separate crashes in the North.

The man was killed in a crash in Saintfield in Co. Down just before 11pm last night, while the woman was knocked down in the early hours of this morning.

She remains in a critical condition in hospital today.

Meanwhile, gardaí have named the woman killed in a crash in Cork yesterday as 26-year-old Ciara O'Brien from Fermoy.
