A motorcyclist has passed away from injuries he sustained in a collision earlier this month.

A motorcyclist has passed away from injuries he sustained in a collision earlier this month.

The man, who was in his mid-fifties, was hospitalised after the bike he was riding collided with a four-wheel drive on April 13 at Knockane Cross in County Cork.

He died in the early hours of this morning in Cork University Hospital.

It brings to 74, the number of people who have died on the country's roads so far this year.
