Grandmothers' Day marked for first time

'Grandmothers' Day' is being marked today for the first time ever.

The Slow Food movement, which promotes traditional food production and use, is behind the event.

President of Slow Food Ireland and well-known chef Darina Allen is urging grandparents to use the day to pass on traditional skills.
