Westmeath fire brought under control

A fire at a former pub in Co. Westmeath has been brought under control.

Houses nearby the Bridge House bar in Rochfordbridge were evacuated because the pub is near a petrol station.

Fire engines remain at the scene and the Main Street has reopened.

A technical examination will be carried out later.
