Prize Bond Company reports record sales last year

The Prize Bond Company says it enjoyed its best year on record in 2008.

The company says total sales were up 95% to more than €279m last year.

Nearly 150,000 prizes worth more than €20m were awarded during the year.

The Prize Bond Company says sales in the first quarter of this year were also very strong.
