Sligo hospital staff to vote on industrial action

Hundreds of workers at Sligo General Hospital are to ballot for industrial action this Friday following moves by hospital management to end their right to automatic sick pay.

Under the plans, it will be up to administration managers to judge the validity of a staff member's sickness and entitlement to sick pay.
