Body of second missing fisherman located off Galway
Search teams off the Co. Galway coast have found the body of a second missing fisherman.
The operation involving the Clifden lifeboat, coastguard helicopters from Shannon and Sligo and an Aer Corps 'Casa' plane began at around 11am this morning.
It was launched after a member of the public spotted an upturned currach at Aughrus Point.
It's understood that the two fishermen, both believed to be locals, took the boat out to sea to check on lobster pots.
The body of the first man was recovered at lunchtime, and the second late this afternoon.
