A jury has been sworn in at the Central Criminal Court for the trial of a Sligo man accused of murdering 14-year-old Melissa Mahon two and a half years ago.

A jury has been sworn in at the Central Criminal Court for the trial of a Sligo man accused of murdering 14-year-old Melissa Mahon two and a half years ago.

Ronald McManus (aged 43), aka Dunbar, of Rathbraughan Park, Sligo, pleaded not guilty to murdering the schoolgirl in Sligo on a date between September 14 and 30 2006. He also denies threatening to kill another female between the same dates.
