Man hands himself in after woman's stabbing death
A man handed himself over to gardaí today after a woman was killed in a stabbing at her home.
The woman, aged in her mid-40s, was attacked in a house in Dublin’s north inner city and rushed to the Mater Hospital where she died shortly after 6.30am.
The man walked into Raheny Garda Station and reported the attack a few hours later.
It is understood detectives are not looking for anyone else in connection with the killing, which occurred following a domestic row.
Gardaí said the house on Shelmalier Road in the East Wall area has been sealed off for forensic examinations.
The woman’s body has been taken to the City Morgue and the State pathologist’s office has been informed.
