Tánaiste to hold talks with Obama administration in Washington
The Tánaiste arrives in Washington today for talks with members of the Obama administration.
Mary Coughlan will meet a number of leading figures including US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner.
The Enterprise and Trade Minister will also meet with members of the Senate and House of Representatives.
The two day stop off in Washington comes at the end of a week-long trade and foreign direct investment mission to the US West Coast.
The Washington meetings will focus on the importance of the economic partnership between Ireland and the US.
The Tánaiste's trip to America comes in the wake of the Taoiseach's meeting with US President Barack Obama in March.
