Group calls on parents to remove TVs from children's bedrooms

The Irish Preschool Play Association says televisions and computers should be taken out of children's bedrooms.

The association is holding a conference in Dublin during the next two days about promoting traditional outdoor pursuits among children.

It says TVs and computers are sabotaging traditional play and exposing children to the tactics of aggressive marketers.
