Shannon to get pre-clearance system for US visitors

Irish people will have easier access to cities across the US from this summer under plans being formulated by the Government.

Transport Minister Noel Dempsey is planning legislation that will introduce immigration and customs pre-clearance at Shannon Airport for visitors to the US.
