Third arrest in relation to murder of nurse in North
Police hunting the killers of a pensioner in the North tonight made another arrest.
The 15-year-old male was detained in Belfast in connection with the murder of Francis O’Neill.
The former psychiatric nurse, 78, was found dead on Saturday morning at his Brook Valley, Omagh, Co Tyrone, home.
More time has been granted to detectives to quiz another two males, aged 16 and 18. They were originally detained on suspicion of burglary but were re-arrested as part of the murder probe.
Omagh independent councillor Paddy McGowan knew the dead man and said he was a gentleman who was well-respected in the town.
