Priest appeals for end to Limerick violence
The priest at the funeral of murdered Limerick man Roy Collins has made a direct appeal to people involved in violence in the city to stop.
Father Sean Harmon was speaking at funeral mass of the 35-year-old father-of-two who was shot dead at Roxboro Shopping Centre last Thursday.
It is believed he was targeted because his family helped convict a well-known Limerick criminal.
The Catholic and Church of Ireland Bishops of Limerick, Assistant Garda Commissioner Kevin Ludlow and detectives investigating the murder are among the mourners at St John's Cathedral.
Father Harmon said violence has no place in Limerick.
