New chairman for Temple Street Hospital

A new chairman has been appointed to the board of Temple Street Children's Hospital in Dublin.

Psychologist Doctor Frank Dolphin previously worked at Temple Street and is now the chairman of RigneyDolphin Ltd, a business processing outsourcing company.

Speaking about his new appointment, Dr Dolphin said he will endeavour to ensure the highest quality of healthcare for the children of Ireland.

"I am very pleased to have been appointed board chair at Children’s University Hospital, Temple Street," said Dr Dolphin.

"I believe that we have a world class staff at the hospital who continue to follow the tradition of delivering the highest quality healthcare to the children of Ireland with dignity, compassion and respect

"The challenges we face lie in ensuring that the facilities we have match the superb calibre of our staff. Thanks to a state of the art ICU which officially opened in 2007, the hospital has recently been named the national referral centre for paediatric neurology.

"In the current climate I feel that it is necessary to take a little less and give a little more and we will continue to strive to ensure the very best standard of care is given to every child that passes through the door of Children’s University Hospital, Temple Street."
