Gardaí 'determined to face down Limerick’s gangs'
The Assistant Garda Commissioner Kevin Ludlow has said gardaí are determined to face down the ruthless criminal gangs operating in Limerick following the murder of Roy Collins.
The 35-year-old was shot dead on Thursday in what gardaí believe was a revenge attack on the family for giving evidence against Limerick criminal Wayne Dundon.
Kevin Ludlow says good progress in being made in the murder investigation and is appealing for further information from the public.
He said the strength of the Collins family shows that the people of Limerick won't let criminals ruin their lives.
