Man held over death of Offaly publican
Gardaí in Offaly are questioning a man in connection with the murder of a publican in Daingean last week.
The man, who is in his 20s, is being questioned at Tullamore garda station.
Matt Farrell, aged 64, was attacked at his pub during what gardaí say was a robbery that went wrong.
A post mortem revealed he died from blunt-force trauma.
He was laid to rest earlier this week.
