The man, who is in his 20s, is being questioned at Tullamore garda station.

Matt Farrell, aged 64, was attacked at his pub during what gardaí say was a robbery that went wrong.

A post mortem revealed he died from blunt-force trauma.

He was laid to rest earlier this week.
