Cut in politicians' pay

Finance Minister Brian Lenihan has introduced cuts in the pay of TDs.

There will be a 10% cut in TDs expenses, except for mileage rates. Long service payments, as well as ministerial pensions and teacher’s pensions for serving TDs have been abolished.
