Major changes to hospital emergency services are coming into effect in the mid-west region today.

Twenty-four-hour A&E services in Ennis and Nenagh hospitals are being cut to 12 hours, with patients required to attend the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick between 8pm and 8am.
