Social partnership talks expected to resume today
Employers and trade unions are expected to resume talks on an economic recovery plan at Government Buildings in Dublin today.
The social partners met for more than six hours yesterday for discussions aimed at ensuring a fair and balanced approach to overcoming the recession.
The employers are hoping a deal can be concluded today, but union sources say an agreement is unlikely before they get to see what measures are included in tomorrow's emergency Budget.
The cabinet is due to meet today to sign off on the budget.
