The Mental Health Coalition says it is extremely concerned about the uncertain circumstances of the injuries at St. Luke's Hospital, St. Michael's Unit and South Tipperary General Hospital.

An inquiry by the State’s mental health watchdog has also found evidence that intellectually disabled residents were inappropriately given tranquilisers to control behaviour.

The HSE says it is working to implement all of the recommendations of the report from the Mental Health Commission.
