Gardaí are continuing their investigation into the death of a 64-year-old publican at his premises in Co Offaly yesterday morning.

Matt Farrell's body was discovered at the Gaelic Bar in Daingean by his son.

He was reportedly tied to a chair and gardaí believe he may have been the victim of a robbery and may have suffered a heart attack.

A post mortem is due to be carried out today to determine the exact cause of death.
