Arrangements are being made with the Revenue Commissioners to enable judges voluntarily pay the public service pension levy, at the request of Chief Justice John Murray.

A statement released this afternoon by the Chief Justice said his office had made contact with the revenue service after the pension levy was imposed at the start of March to examine a way for judges to voluntarily make the contribution.
