A Monaghan truck driver who delivered over €3 million worth of herbal cannabis to a Dublin industrial estate has been sentenced to 10 years in prison by Judge Desmond Hogan.

A Monaghan truck driver who delivered over €3 million worth of herbal cannabis to a Dublin industrial estate has been sentenced to 10 years in prison by Judge Desmond Hogan.

Fergal Hanley (aged 41) of Killyvane, Monaghan, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to possession of the drugs, valued at €3.08m, for sale or supply at JFK industrial estate, Clondalkin on June 30, 2007. He had no previous convictions and had not come to garda attention since.
