Man found dead at pub in Co Offaly
Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body was found in a pub in Co Offaly this morning.
The 64-year-old man, who owned the pub in Daingean, was found dead by a member of his family at around 7.30am.
Gardaí are treating the death as suspicious and are reportedly investigating the possibility that he may have died during a robbery at the premises.
The scene has been preserved for technical examination and the office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
