Man stabbed during attack at house in Dundalk

Gardaí in Co Louth are investigating an attack in Dundalk last night in which a man was stabbed several times.

A number of shots were also fired during the incident at a house in the Avenue Road area.

The victim, who is believed to be in his 30s and from eastern Europe, was brought to hospital for treatment.

Up to seven men are believed to have fled the scene in a people-carrier and gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
