A three-year-old girl has died after being hit by a car in Co Derry yesterday evening.

A three-year-old girl has died after being hit by a car in Co Derry yesterday evening.

The accident happened at Ashdale Park in Coleraine just before 7pm.

The toddler was rushed to hospital, but died a short time later.

The PSNI is appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
