Accountants have said they don't expect the latest clampdown on tax evasion to generate as much revenue as previous inquiries.

Accountants have said they don't expect the latest clampdown on tax evasion to generate as much revenue as previous inquiries.

The Revenue Commissioners are to check if money paid into trusts both in Ireland and abroad was properly taxed here.

The investigation is to begin in September but the penalties will be cut for those who make a full disclosure and pay up by the end of October.
