NGOs warn Govt to keep aid promise

Irish aid agencies are calling on the Government not to target overseas aid in next month's emergency Budget.

In a letter to the Taoiseach, 66 different NGOs are reminding Brian Cowen of Ireland's promise to direct 0.7% of the country's GDP to foreign aid programmes by 2012.
