Burton calls on Govt to abolish tax shelters

The Labour Party is accusing Fianna Fáil ministers of conniving with accountants and lawyers to help rich people evade tax.

The party's finance spokesperson has told delegates at the party's annual conference in Mullingar that the Finance Minister Brian Lenihan must abolish all tax shelters if the Government is serious about balancing the books in next month's emergency Budget.
