ICTU postpones planned national ‘day of action’

The Irish Congress of Trade Unions has deferred its planned national 'day of protest' next Monday after being invited into fresh talks on an economic recovery plan.

The Government made the invitation last night in an effort to prevent several trade unions from engaging strike action as part of next Monday's protests.
