Five people being questioned in connection with the recent dissident republican murders in the North are believed to have been released from custody following a High Court ruling this morning.

The court ruled that the continued detention of six people held over the killings was illegal because the judge who ordered an extension of the detention period did not address the legality of their original arrests.
