FF councillor resigns due to candidate selection process

Edenderry town councillor Noel Cribbin has resigned from Fianna Fail in protest at the party's selection procedure for local election candidates.

Mr Cribbin says he now plans to contest June's elections as an independent candidate.

He says he is very frustrated and disappointed with the party's selection procedure for candidates by way of interview.
