Final two people held in connection with Louth attack released
Gardaí this evening released the final two people in custody in relation to a violent attack on two couples in Co. Louth on Monday night.
One woman was allegedly raped and all four were badly beaten during the incident which took place in the car park of Townley Manor, just outside Drogheda.
Two people who were in custody in Dundalk Garda Station were released without charge this evening, while three others who were being detained in Drogheda were released earlier this afternoon.
A sixth person who had also been arrested in connection with the assault was released last night.
Gardaí confirmed a file on all of the arrests was being prepared for the DPP.
