British Prime Minister Gordon Brown vowed today that violent extremists will not be allowed to destroy the peace process in the North following the murder of two soldiers and a policeman.

Mr Brown used today’s session of Prime Minister’s Questions in the House of Commons to send his condolences to the families and friends of Sappers Mark Quinsey and Patrick Azimkar, who were shot dead on Saturday, and PC Stephen Carroll, who was killed on Monday.
