Man and woman held in connection with Belfast death

A man and a woman were today arrested by police probing a suspicious death in east Belfast.

Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the 46-year-old man’s death, which happened on Monday night in the Maymount area.

A police spokesman said a post mortem examination was due to be carried out later on Tuesday.

The man’s name has not been released.
