Bishops condemn killing of PSNI officer in Craigavon
The Church of Ireland and Catholic Bishops of Dromore have issued a joint statement condemning the killing of a PSNI officer in Co Armagh last night.
Bishop Harold Miller and Bishop John McAreavey have described the murder of Constable Stephen Paul Carroll in Craigavon as "a morally bankrupt act".
They say the people who carried out the shooting have nothing to offer the future of society in the North.
The two bishops also say the community will not allow the killers to succeed in their attempts to destroy the peace process.
