Four held after attack on two couples in Louth

Gardaí in Co. Louth are holding four people in connection with an attack on two couples near Tullyallen in the early hours of this morning.

Up to six foreign nationals are believed to have attacked the two men and two women in the Townley Hall area at around 4am.

A search involving the garda air support unit is understood to be taking place in the area.
