Man in court in connection with Down stabbing

A 22-year-old man was charged with attempted murder today after a weekend stabbing in Co Down.

The suspect will appear at Downpatrick Magistrates’ Court today following the attack in in Main Street, Castlewellan, yesterday morning.

The charges will be reviewed by prosecutors.
