Increased petrol taxes can’t be ruled out - Ryan
The Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources has said increased taxes on petrol and diesel cannot be ruled out in next month's supplementary Budget.
Speaking in Wexford prior to the start of the Green Party's National Convention, Eamon Ryan said nothing is being ruled in or out when it comes to revenue-raising measures.
He said he would like to see less use of petrol and diesel to clean up the environment and raising taxes might help to achieve that, but the effect of such increases could be negative.
