Woman critical after being struck by car in Belfast

A 19-year-old woman is in a critical condition in hospital today after being hit by a car in Belfast.

The pedestrian was struck on the Ardoyne Road in north Belfast last night.

The 19-year-old man driving the car has been arrested.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which occurred at around 9.30pm.
