Recession mustn't stop ministers' St Patrick's trips says Senator

The recession must not stop Government ministers jetting overseas on St Patrick’s Day to swill green beer and sell the country, a Senator claimed today.

Independent Joe O’Toole told the Seanad that attracting tourists and investors to Ireland was more important than ever and urged politicians to ignore public criticism of the annual junkets.
