Fourteen still in custody in connection with Geoghegan murder
Fourteen people remain in garda custody this morning as part of the investigation into the murder of Shane Geoghegan in Limerick last year.
Ten of the detainees had their periods of detention extended following a special sitting of Limerick District Court last night, while the other four will have their detention reviewed later today.
Mr Geoghegan was shot dead near his home in Dooradoyle in November after apparently being mistaken for a drug dealer who lives in the area.
The 28-year-old was a rugby player with Garryowen.
